North Broadway Sewer Rehabilitation Project

This project involves lining existing sewer pipes in Chinatown on and near North Broadway to make the sewers more reliable for decades to come. The first section, between Bernard Street and College Street, was completed in November 2008. During February 2009 the project will continue along Cesar Chavez Avenue between North Broadway and New High Street.

QUICK FACTS

  • Construction period: At the end of February 2009 for up to ten consecutive business days. No work will take place on weekends.
  • Work hours: Up to 24 hours on some days to expedite project completion.
  • Project cost: $1.3 million.
  • Project length: 1,346 feet
